Starting Lineup

I think the way the team (and individual players) is/are currently playing, I would start Clark, Beekman, Franklin, Dunn and BVP. I'd then rotate in McThreely to give Clark, Beekman and Franklin a breather. Also I'd rotate in Shedrick and Gardner to give Dunn and BVP a break. Depending on matchups and who's playing well would determine who gets extended minutes. Clark, Beekman and Franklin get 33 minutes each as McThreely gets the remaining 21 minutes. BVP gets 33 minutes, Dunn gets 20 minutes and Gardner/Shedrick get the remaining 27 minutes. I still think we need Shedrick to get more minutes if he can play more aggressively on offense.

Just food for discussion.

Quick update on Nick Jackson…

Just wanted to pass along the latest on what we’re hearing about Nick Jackson:

Word is he continues to work through the recruiting process while still being enrolled at UVa as he finishes the requirements for his degree this spring .

He has taken several visits, including Auburn and Oklahoma. As of now, he is scheduled to visit Iowa this coming weekend with a visit to LSU thereafter.

As far as UVa goes, it seems premature to say that he has ruled out a return to Charlottesville. Being on Grounds to finish his degree certainly helps UVa in this regard.

For now, sources say that he is looking at his options very closely and is really conflicted about the decision.

UVA girls did not play well today, probably the sloppiest game this season; too many wide open ND girls at 3pt/under basket for miles to clown pass to

This team did not play well today. Also had a three point shooter hitting and got away from that to throw up running contested shots around the basket.

Did anyone see the ND girl that was hurt early in the game was smiling and the announcer says can you see she is smiling and at that point the ND girl smirked at someone on her bench and gives them the middle finger right on camera as the announcer tells people to check out her smile.LOL:p

At the end of the regular season, WF could be our best win

Wake Forest was 10-0 at home until Virginia came to town. The total number of fouls ended up about even thanks to a volume last 3 minute fouls by Wake; the problem was that they had 4 players with 3 fouls while Virginia had 3 players with 4, and 2 of these were Beekman and Clark. The difference in the game was 1) WF was 9 of 27 from deep with their best shooter, Appleby going 1 of 8, and Virginia was 15 for 34, and 2) the assist/turnover ratio was 9/9 for Wake and 19/7 for Virginia in spite of the fact that Virginia often had only one of Beekman and Clark on the floor. It would have been easy for Virginia to panic as they watched the lead shrink from 19 to 1, but instead they just dug a little deeper to come through with a big win.
