For the past few days I have been exploring basketball portal posts and have noticed the following - many schools have a need for one or more big men (centers and power forwards), and the lists of players in the transfer portal are almost entirely devoid of big men but are loaded with guards and wings. The few that are available, such as Andrej Stojakovic, are expected to choose a blue blood or green money program. It appears that most teams will have to attract foreign players or find a rough diamond.

UVa's first spring addition comes in the secondary, with Cincinnati DB Jordan Robinson set to sign with Virginia. Robinson spent one year at a JUCO, then two at Kentucky before this last year at Cincinnati. He played in 10 games for the Bearcats and had 18 tackles. He's a big corner, at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds.

Hoos hosted Colorado transfer RB Augustave this week. Notable that Colorado does a late spring practice finishing two days before portal closes.

Starting a thread to track all of UVa's comings and goings now that the portal is back open this morning. UVa has already hosted a couple of visitors from Stanford, whose portal window was already open due to a coaching change, but there will surely be more targets to come, and surely a few players that opt to leave the UVa program and enter the portal. We'll track it all here.

Greetings from a chilly and overcast Scott Stadium, where we're set for the Blue/White game at Noon. Game will be broadcast on ACCN.

We'll have updates here throughout the game today. The format is pretty close to a regular game. Four quarters, the first 1.5 quarters will be normal clock and then they'll go to a running clock the rest of the game. There will be TV timeouts and a shorter halftime. QB's will be in no-contact orange jerseys.

Tell them we will give 2 mill with a 1 mill bonus if the team beats tech. He can sit out the playoffs and acc championship if he wants. If he stays two years and beats tech twice with one at tech his escalator clause includes a statue in the front of the stadium, free box seats for life, and a complimentary free athlete degree from UNC. I think that’s a heck of a deal and well worth the money lol.

The Virginia women's golf team tied for 2nd place in the ACC tournament while Virginia Tech took 7th place. This was a little ray of sunshine in a cloudy year.

Oklahoma guard Duke Miles is backing off of his UVa pledge. Not terribly surprised, he might have been looking at a much smaller role with Hall and others on board, especially if they're planning to take another guard. Opens up another spot on the roster.

Another player on board for UVa and another experienced and talented guard. Dallin Hall announced his commitment tonight on Instagram. He comes to UVa with one year of eligibility remaining and can play PG or off-ball guard. He averaged 6.8 points and 4.2 assists per game for the Cougars this year, and 9.0 points and 5.1 assists the year before. Career 35.9 percent three-point shooter. UVa now has 5 scholarships remaining.
