I was in law school at UVA when this case broke. It really changed my perspective on how the media can influence (or hijack) how a case is prosecuted. Little did I know that MY university will be involved in a similar situation less than a decade later. This investigation is a key case study of race relations, economic privilege, internal university policies and how the media reports stories. I'm hoping that the 30 for 30 does it justice. I'm optimistic, because despite how biased ESPN has become, they bring in outside directors who are less likely to tow the party line.
