I seldom watch much West Coast B'Ball but decided to watch St Mary's against the Zags. I wanted to see how good the freshman guard for St. Mary's really was. Until about 6 minutes to go with the Zags having led all the way and by double figures most of the second half, the kid (1-10 in the first half) had two points and with 9 to go had four fouls when he was reinserted. With 5 to go the kid went off both scoring on tough drives and 3-4 great passing assists and led his team to OT and they upset the Zags. The kid is the real deal IMHO, handles well has has "onions" when the chips are down. He may be the second best frosh in America. His team is scrappy and plays D like we normally do, though the Zags played great D for most of the game 'til that kid went off. We underrate West Coast teams because we seldom see them play due to the time zone.
