The European Union recently enacted a strict General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for how companies need to protect the online security of its subscribers. Most consumers would probably agree that this is a good idea, but there are always unintended consequences, and I fell victim to this because I live in Europe. Rivals (Yahoo) has chosen not to comply with the EU regulation and in so doing have closed off any access to CavsCorner from Europe. Long story short, my 15+ year membership on this board had no bearing as I was no longer able to log onto CavsCorner. Brad has also enquired on my behalf, but this is a corporate decision at the mothership. The reality is that there probably aren't that many Rivals subscribers who live in Europe, but for those who do this simply sucks. The workaround has been a subscription to a service that disguises my IP address and makes it appear as if I am logging in from the US (shhh our little secret! Don't tell anyone). Long story short, I am back, for now, after a fairy lengthy absence. It's good to be back!
