From the reports from camp about Thorpe before he got hurt I was going to say for the first time in a while the offense could be semi-explosive. Now that we have both Thorpe and Dowling potentially out, even though we could go deep on occasion aggressive enough I'm afraid we won't have enough to strike fear in the most teams. With Thorpe and Dowling I think you could've opened up in the passing game for Smoke a lot more, but now without those guys he will be easier to key in on. I know the saying is next man up and we still have a talented enough team, but as we have seen in years past we don't strike fear into many teams, so the power running game and TE's better step up to give our receivers a chance to use their bigger bodies to an advantage.
