I remember when the field came out that there was some surprise at how there were no western teams with home sites or national seeds. Someone made the comment that the game was an SEC and ACC dominated game now. I think there were only one team each from those conferences in the CWS and both went out in two games....Miami and Florida. There was nothing but western teams left in the final 6 a few days ago, Oklahoma State was the eastern most team. The west and southwestern schools really played well.
