New PAC commissioner Kliakov has the best stance about the CFP. He’s saying slow down on approving the 12 team CFP expansion. Said the four person subcommittee wasn’t fair, needed all conferences involved. He’s exactly right, expansion needs to be blocked. The SEC has tried to screw over the rest of college football in a money and power grab, the rest of the conferences need to stand up to them.

Subcommittee member #1 Sankey of SEC had been working clandestine for 6-12 months to steal OU/Texas. That move was not supposed to be announced until after CFP expansion was finalized in September. Supposedly Texas A&M got wind and leaked it out. Sankey said he wanted 12 for the good of college football to include the other conferences, but he really pushed for 12 instead of 8 to load up on CFP spots. What Sankey the snake was trying to do is bad for the sport, and will hurt or destroy other conferences like the Big12 and maybe the PAC and ACC. Certainly will widen the already huge money gap.

Subcommitte member #2 Bowlsby of the Big12 was operating with incomplete info due to OU/UT/SEC dealings. And the SEC would never have wanted to add those two without CFP expansion to 12.

Subcommittee member #3 Notre Dame AD Swarbrick wanted 12 to guarantee ND would always get a spot. This allows ND to stay independent and make the CFP. So he had an agenda only for himself.

Subcommittee member #4 was the token Group of 5 member from the Mountain West. They only care that the G5 was guaranteed one spot.

The other four P5 conferences need to F’ the SEC back and block CFP expansion as planned. Could do eight teams as was the original plan. Or could mandate no conference gets more than three teams or such.
