The guy behind the Extra Points newsletter now has a website and all of his FOIA requests are posted online including one he made for details of the UVA sports budget and funding for FY19. For those of you that are like me and into these kind of financial details it’s pretty fascinating. Highlights below and documents here: UVA Sports Dept Budget Details (UVA's apparel contract and Bronco's contract are also included).
You can really see how important it is for the football program to be financially successful in order to support the other 24 sports. (This is also bias-confirming for me and supports comments I've made in the past about how many second/third tier universities will have to change their approach to sports in a post-covid college and financial environment).
Finally, some of this was quite surprising to me – the gap between what UVA pays and receives in football and men’s basketball guarantees; the cost of running the women’s basketball program; the financial significance of attending a second tier bowl game; and Track & Field contributions being higher than Lax, Soccer, and Rowing.

There’s lots of details on the coaching salaries for each sport too.
