Does anyone else think we need to change the coaching head hunting firm?

I assume we are still using the same firm to develop a list of potential head coaching candidates and work with UVA through that process to select a coach that can win here. Maybe they aren't fully identifying the details that make a difference.

We've gotten Groh, London, Bronco and Elliott ( I know it's too early to fairly judge him, but...). Only Bronco had head coaching experience, but at a school with definite recruiting advantages that allowed 25 year old men to play against younger talent. Elliott had no head coaching experience and coached at a school so dramatically different from UVA, the learning curve and adjustment time would be expected to be long. They should have identified those differences and the potential impact.

Groh had no college head coaching success, and neither did London (or Elliott). Is that why they failed? Who knows? But it seems like we should have selected one good coach over the last 20 years. Someone should be held accountable for the 20 year failure.

Maybe we need to look at head coaches that have had success in non-power 5 conferences? Maybew we need a coach with head coaching experience at a school with similar academic requirements. I certainly don't have the expertise to say what the answer is, but the firm we contract with should.
