by past, present, or committed UVA students? I believe that if Virginia was a country, the school would be in the top twenty nations. I have been disappointed in many of the aspects of the 2024 Olympics, but I have been impressed by the performance and demeanor of all Virginia representatives.
I found the answer. Virginia participants received 13 medals (6 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze). UVA finished behind United States, China, Australia, Japan, Great Britain, France, South Korea, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Canada, New Zealand, Hungary, and Spain. I believe I hear a WaHooWa.
Only the first eleven countries on this list received more than 6 gold medals.
