The casual baseball fan probably would not realize how valuable Haseley was to the UVA baseball team. A quick look at the stats makes his contribution obvious. Offensively he was #1 in doubles with 17, T#1 in triples with 6, T#2 in home runs with 6, #5 in RBI with 27, and #5 in batting average at .300 As a pitcher Haseley was #1 in ERA at 1.73, #2 in wins with 8, and #2 in strike outs. In addition, he is a very good center fielder. UVA fans are fortunate that Oak was able to snatch him out of Florida.
