Much as I disdain USNews and WR, I long for the days when UVa was The University
the preeminent state university. When rankings first published we were number one or tied for number one -18th overall
We have ignored what it takes, and not played the game. Ive written numerous ignored emails about how to play the game.
We had dropped to 28th, and fourth in state universities, behind michigan for the first time ever. I was not hopeful
But rankings just came out and we rose back to 25 and tied with Michigan, behind ucla and berkeley.
If only we would institute the one click application process like the california schools, our admit rate would drop to 10-12 percent...
Kudos to JIM RYAN!! Lets leapfrog those cali schools and get back to where we belong!
