Slowing down a fast start- We haven't won a road game since I last had hair. We can't let them get out to a sizable early lead.

Getting pressure on freshman- I know he was good in HS, but seeing blitzes JT can dial up will be very new to him. We need to shut down the run and force him to beat us.

Running Game- 5-7 yards on early downs will give us manageable 3rd downs and can set up play action.

Matt Johns- He will need to make a few plays down the field like last year to keep the defense honest and take the open plays with his legs.

OL- Key to our season. They need to be more nasty in the running game than last year. Smash mouth football and low score without turnovers will be a key to starting the year 1-0.

Linebackers- Just don't let them
expose us in the passing game across the middle. Run defense and pass rush from DL should take care of themselves.

Special Teams - We need a big play to quiet the crowd. Looking forward to seeing if the Punt Return game has improved.

Coaching- Fairchild needs to call a game like he did in parts at Virginia Tech. Let Johns be Johns and don't run the jet sweep 20 times unles it's setting up something big here and there.

Stop the running game, 3-5 sacks, less than 2 turnovers (I would like 0), and running the ball with our stable of backs will lead to a win.
