Doyle's last two starts have been very impressive. He went 7.2 innings without allowing a hit and followed up by pitching 7 innings in which he gave up only 3 hits and allowed 1 unearned run. He struck out 10 and gave up 1 walk. He has been named the starting pitcher for the North Division all-star team. He might just be playing himself back into contention for a weekend starting slot next spring.
