UNC has just self-reported that there have apparently been additional violations in addition to those alleged by the NCAA. These involved women's basketball, whose faculty adviser was an ethics professor, and men's soccer. The original report from the NCAA found that 169 student-athletes might have received improper academic assistance. Of these 123 were football players, 15 basketball players from the men's team and 8 basketball players from the women's team. In spite of this, folks at UNC insist that the women's team might get hammered, but Roy insists that his program is squeaky clean.
