For their 2nd road victory against a ranked opponent in a week, the Cavs scored 55 seconds into the match, withstood an equalizer before halftime, and pulled away in the 2nd half last night. This is the first regular-season home loss for Pitt since 2019 and the first 3-game winning streak for UVA since 2019. Phil Horton scored twice, and Reese Miller scored his first goal of what should be a promising UVA career.

The win puts us at the top of the Coastal division, though that might be short-lived if Duke knocks off undefeated and #1 Wake Forest tonight. We should get a few votes in the rankings this week regardless.
