The women fell to Wofford 71-70primarily because they were just 4 of 23 on their 3-point shots. We won the battle on the boards 45 to 27 but were unable to overcome the 33 to 12 point disparity on the deep shots. The men were slightly worse in making just 2 of 14 shots from behind the arc and 10 of 18 foul shots. The men made up for the deficit with their defense by forcing 8 steals and 17 turnovers. Beekman led the Hoos with a career high 21 points and combined with Rohde for 11 of our 13 assists while committing just 1 turnover. Virginia led the scoring for just 4 minutes and 2 seconds, but most of those seconds were at the end of the game to produce a 56 to 54 win.
