After watching SKJ unfold and open up his recruiting and still NO MD, why haven't the staff try to go after a kid right in their backyard?
My brother actually coached him when he was younger in baseball. My brother said he is a good kid and his daughter took advance classes with him for several years and said he is a smart guy. She has just received a scholarship to VT (Killing her dad and the rest of the Uncles/Family because we are diehard UVA fans) to start this fall and she raved about how nice and smart Javin is. Sounds like what UVA is looking for in a recruit.
Just hate to see a hometown kid that is walking distance from the campus go to possibly another ACC school or Texas where I'm at now and blows up as far as being a top starter or star player.
Do they fell it's too late in the relationship and maybe pride (Javin's feelings of being the bridesmaid selection from the start rather than the bride analogy in recruiting; Virginia never really had him on the top tier of guys for what ever reason) of being an after thought would not be worth it?
This kid has a lot of sports publication raving as well with the level of rise from 120ish to #40 on Rivals and you wouldn't even take him after the SKJ situation for some type of insurance in case MD also doesn't show up in the end?
