Baseball will be starting at the Dish in a couple of weeks. Wake is projected to have the best team in the ACC and one of the top teams in the country, and Clemson, Duke, NCSU, and Virginia will be fighting for second place in the ACC. It seems that Hodges, O'Connor, and Woolfolk are now the top three to be starting on the mound on the weekend. We have a number of pitchers battling it out for week day starts or relief pitchers. This group includes returning pitchers, transfers, and first years. Anderson and Ferrence will likely be starting at either catcher, first base ,or designated hitter. Ford, a first year, will also contend for time at first or dh. Becker, a transfer, and Godbout and Hanson, who played last year, will likely start at either 2nd of 3rd base. O'Ferrall will be the shortstop. The four primary contenders for the three outfield spots are Didawick, Saucke, Stephan, and Whalen, another transfer.
