I'm hoping the injury is not major and B. Armstrong can make it back. As of now Armstrong is sitting at 5,932 career yards, 3,557 yards for the season, 47 career TDs and 27 TDs for the season.
His record currently stacks up against all time UVA greats.
Career yards he's in the #4 spot with 5,932 yards, just behind #3 Perkins with 6,218 and just behind Shawn Moore at #2 with 6,629 career yards that he could have passed this year.
Season yards, Armstrong just took the #1 spot with 3,557 yards, passing Perkin's mark of 3,538.
Career TDs, Armstrong is currently sitting at #3 with 47, behind Shawn Moore at #2 with 55 yards and Matt Schaub at #1 with 56 career TDs.
For season TD record Armstrong is sitting at #2 with 27 TDs, just one behind #1 Matt Schaub at 28 TDs.
I really would like for him to make it back because looking at the roster, we will loose ALOT of his targets going into next year.
Lastly, I was reading this article on Drew Brees and how he played with broken ribs after he broke more ribs on the other side and missed only 4 games, but actually came back the following weekend and played with the first initial broken ones. 11 broken ribs. Armstrong is a tough kid and I could see them fitting him with a protective device and he still playing in two weeks if the injury was not severe. Hoping they are keeping it concealed to throw ND game plan off in two weeks.
Here's the Drew Brees story about having 11 broken ribs and playing through the injury if you are interested.Cheers!
