Players from Eastern Mennonite, Randolph-Macon, and Lynchburg made the team, and two players from Virginia Union made the team. No one from UVA was on the team. Loyal UVA fans will say that Randolph would have made the team if she had not been hurt, or that some other player deserved to be on the team, and that may be true. We have gone from a time when two or three players would be on the team to this point where we have to argue that someone should have been considered.
