At least at the top. The RPI had Kansas, Oregon, UVa 1-2-3. Nova was 4, but questionable and lost to an un-ranked team in their conference final. UNC was 5 coming off a win vs the #3 team in the country. Makes a lot of sense that they jump everyone but Kansas, getting the #2 overall seed. Also makes a lot of sense that Nova fell. Mich St was 11 in RPI, but as Arden and others have said, the Valentine injury was huge and most feel they are as good as anyone. However, losing to Nebraska at home, as well as Iowa (swept by both) has to carry a consequence no matter how they are playing now, no matter Izzo is the coach. They get the 5 overall with the 11th best RPI. They are the lone team outside of the top 7 RPI rankings to be a top 8 seed. They jumped 6 spots based on RPI, by far the biggest boost. Many say they are the best team, but they are where they belong.
