With Key's injury and the shooting woes and with all the premier programs in the country like UNC and Ohio State and Maryland playing in the ACC/B1G Challenge, I'm glad they gave us this year off. Fortunately Purdue has the year off too, which is great. A rematch of one of the greatest tournament games in history would just be disaster for us and them and a story nobody would follow.
In case it's not evident, this entire post is TIC. I'm stunned that the defending national champions, currently ranked in the top 5, matched against a perennial B1G power has not been mentioned in any of the promotional spots I've seen. Admittedly I have flipped between the two channels during games and at half, but I've seen tons of promo for Puke/MSU, UNCheat/tOSU, UL/Mich and Maryland/Fighting Amish. Not a single mention of our game. Like they are going out of their way not to mention it. I'm assuming the game is still being played.
