The men's and women's squash teams are getting a lot of coverage and videos on VirginiaSports.com. From that, I assume they are officially sponsored by the Athletic Dept. including scholarships, travel and other expenses. Is this money coming from VAF donations? The NCAA does not sanction squash, even though they sanction every other minor sport in which only a few teams compete. That is how teams like Stanford rack up all their points in the Learfield Cup. So are the squash teams just club teams? I am just confused about their official standing and justification since the NCAA does not recognize the teams?
