The biggest meet on the world stage outside of the Olympics started Saturday in Budapest.
3 current Hoos and 1 former Hoo are swimming.

Quick recap after Day 1:
- Kate Douglass wins a bronze medal on the 4x100 Meter Free Relay. Australia and Canada took Gold and Silver. Kate has the 200 Breast individual event next week, seeded 3rd in an event she's barely swum.
- Alex Walsh qualifies 1st in 200 IM heading into the final. Last year's Olympic Gold Medalist from Japan (Walsh won silver and Douglass won bronze) didn't even make finals. Douglass didn't swim this event.
- Leah Smith (former Hoo) wins bronze in the 400 Meter Freestyle behind Katie Ledecky and Summer McIntosh of Canada (15-yr old phenom)
