Swimming World Champs...Day 8 Gold Medals for Douglass and G Walsh to end the meet

With the time difference from Japan, the first day of semifinals and finals will either be in-progress or done depending on where you are, but hopefully you can tune in on Peacock or YouTube highlights.

Here's the Day 1 morning Prelims recap -
200 IM - Kate Douglass and Alex Walsh are 1st and 3rd (tie) going into semis and set up well. Douglass is favored, and Walsh is defending World Champion.
100 Fly - Gretchen Walsh is 8th going into semis in a loaded and tight field
4x100 Free Relay - Douglass and Walsh will both be on the Finals relay after the morning US team qualified 2nd behind the Australians. Maxine Parker was on the morning lineup to qualify.
