Last night was an indicator that we do not play as well when the team offense is not balanced. It was hard to watch LP and MB play a two-man game, with Gill as the 3rd option. Hall Nolte and Shayok were both playing solid games, but towards the end of the game were being completely shut out of the offense.
I have to believe that CTB will be working very hard with both LP and MB to open their court vision. The 1st round next weekend should provide ample opportunity for this team to refocus on moving the ball and having opportunities available to all players.
However, Hall and Nolte both need to be given more of a green light. They both passed up open 3 opportunities last night that eventually resulted in wasted possessions. I would rather see Nolte and Hall attempted an open 3 than 15 seconds of additional ball movement and a forced shot.
I think if this team re-balances its offense, we are going to be so tough to beat.
