The National Championships are being held at Lake Lanier in Georgia, which was the rowing venue during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. UVA has done really well in several qualifying heats so far today.
Proud pappa alert: My son is a first year on the crew team, and his boat just qualified for the finals tomorrow by nudging out UNC and finishing 2nd to Michigan in a really close race. The finals should be really exciting.
