Virginia avoids a sweep with 14 - 11 win over Miami

Virginia wins the shootout by scoring 3 runs in the 9th with the scored tied 11 - 11. As was the case in the first two games, Virginia jumped out to a 4 - 0 lead in the 2nd inning.
after Miami scored twice in the 4th, the Cavs tallied 2 more in the 5th. Miami scored 4 times in the bottom of the 5 to even the score at 6. Virginia scored 4 more i the 6th, and Miami scored 2 runs for a 10 - 8 for the Cavs. Miami added 3 runs in the 7th to take a 11 - 10 lead. Virginia tallied 1 run in the 8th and 3 runs in the 9th for the win.
Woolfolk started on the mound for Virginia and went 4.1 innings and was charged with Miami's first 6 runs. Tonas closed out the 5th inning. Jaxel pitched .1 innings and gave up 2 hits, 1 walk, and 2 runs. Barker closed out the 6th without allowing any more runs, but got into trouble in the 7th inning and allowed 3 runs on 2 hits and 1 walk. Augustin came in and got the final 2 outs in the 7th inning and 3 outs in the 8th without allowing any more runs. He was credited with the win. O'Connor pitched the 9th and gave up 2 hits and a walk before retiring the final batter with the bases loaded.
Saucke led the offense with 4 hits, including 2 home runs and 3 RBI. O'Ferrrall and Anderson each had 3 hits, and Ford and Hanson had 2 hits as part of the 17 hits recorded by the team..
