All coaches of top seeded teams have two NCAA nightmare: (1) a flat performance from his team and (2) a lights out performance from the other team, with nightmare 2 being far worse because you cannot control it. MSU, Purdue and WVU to name a few have fallen to such a lights out performance, and UVA faced one last night. That kid, 45, may never have a game like he had last night, but for 30 minutes he played like an All-American. As a coach and a team, you simply cannot adequately plan against such a performance.
Many, if not most, teams would have fallen against such a performance, but UVa did not. CTB switched MB onto 45, and shut him down for the remainder of the game. Great win for the team, and a bullet dodged.
