Sorry if I'm reposting some points that have already been made - I haven't had time to read all the threads. I was able to take off my orange and blue glasses and put my die-hard UVA fan emotions aside last night during and after the game and had a great time watching a fantastic basketball game. Wow! What a program Tony has built here at UVA. A point that gets lost in all this is that we were playing a team in UNC that has nine (9) consensus top-50 recruits playing on their team while we have zero (0). Yet we were a missed shot or two away from sweeping them for the season. I'm really proud of the way our guys played. Yes, it wasn't perfect, but a lot of guys stepped their games up last night. Let's give UNC credit - they finally played defense and they are a very tough team that just ransacked 2 other decent teams the previous 2 days. Some nights, the shots just don't fall and we missed a number of three pointers that were so close to going in the basket. Again, give some credit to UNC - they took a page out of our book and challenged every shot to make sure we didn't have the room-and-rhythm looks. I can't help but effusing excitement for this program even after the loss last night. The talent level in this program is on the upswing and I don't see how HS players across the country can not be impressed with UVA's team. I think we're on the verge of being recognized now as an elite basketball program by the only people that matter - the young basketball players. I'm looking forward to the NCAA's with excitement and think we can go far. The only thing I did not enjoy about last night's game was listening to Jay Bilas - he really is a poor analyst. I'm thinking that a visit to the eye doctor is in order for him.
