It was a dominant 28-0 effort to give the program its first bowl win since 2005. UVA won eight games combined in Mendenhall’s first two seasons. The win over the Gamecocks was win No. 8 for the season. With the Coastal wide open, Virginia should be right in the mix for the division crown.
