I grew up watching the Baby Dodgers play in the old Class B Piedmont League, so I still follow the Dodgers. I especially follow the Virginia born and UVA educated Taylor. His production has been down this year likely because of the combination of age and injuries, so he is hitting just a little over .200. Last night the Dodgers were down 4-2 to the Orioles when he came up to bat in the 6th with the bases loaded. Taylor hit one deep into the cheap seats to give the Dodgers a 6-4 lead. This was the 6th or 7th grand slam in his big league career, which is not bad for a player primarily remembered for a single at UVA.
