UVA lands on The Athletics "winners" list (vs broke even or loser)
ACC winners, losers in the transfer portal: Louisville, Florida State reload, where is Clemson?
"Virginia
Malik Washington’s breakout season in Charlottesville last year after transferring from Northwestern helped Tony Elliott land three intriguing new pass-catching prospects in the portal. They include ex-Notre Dame receiver Chris Tyree, a Virginia native who led the Irish in receiving yards; ex-Kent State starter Trell Harris; and Andre Green Jr., a former top-100 recruit who spent two years at North Carolina. Virginia also added ex-Harvard tight end Tyler Neville, a two-time first-team All-Ivy League selection with 62 career catches for 698 yards and eight scores. Defensively, the Cavaliers added three players with at least two full seasons of starting experience: ex-Akron linebacker Corey Thomas (22 starts), former Eastern Michigan cornerback Kempton Shine (41 starts) and former Penn cornerback Kendren Smith (25 starts). Shine and Smith should help fill the shoes of the one starter Virginia lost in the portal: cornerback Dave Herard."
