As I understand it ( and may be wrong) each school receives millions of dollars ( perhaps as much as $30) as a result of the settlement and can spend that money HOWEVER it wants - e.g. on any sport - tennis, football, rowing, lacrosse, etc. Some schools are reportedly planning to allocate substantial sums to non-revenue sports in search of Nattys because they realize will never really compete in football or basketball —- raises 2 questions
