Good morning everyone,
Just wanted to drop a quick note and announce that when the On3 acquisition of Rivals goes through in about a month (officially as of July 1), CavsCorner will continue on as the UVa site on the new network and there will be no changes to your subscriptions. We’re in a long-term agreement with On3 and excited about the future ahead both for our site but also the revamped roadmap.
What will change, though, is a lot of the technology around the site/network, which will get demonstrably better, and the overall value of a subscription as On3 adds all of its content into the stream for sites like ours.
Rivals will be the high school recruiting home and On3 will be the college and national home. Our sites will pull in content from all sides with the benefit of a slew of additional regional and national staff who you will see quite often on our site and board.
Obviously, we’re really excited to be a part of this effort and can’t wait to see it all come together. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email me: Brad.Franklin@me.com.
Thanks everyone and as always, Go Hoos!
