There are serious flaws with this team, flaws due to lack of preparation and coaching. CBM has such a blind spot he seems to miss the issues that lack of ST coaching exposed last night. The ST's had NO CLUE what to do. #14 TWICE just let the ball pass him by. NO ONE seemed to understand the basic rule that the receiving team is NOT bound by the 10 yard rule. EARNED NOT GIVEN APPLIES TO COACHES!
Howell and the D are hanging on by a thread. it is clear 3-3-5 is not working and that the D needs a seventh defender "in the box". Lack of secondary talent is a RECRUITING flaw. THAT is on coaches as well. Defense game planning and preparation is essential to maximize talent you have. Simple things like DONT GET BEAT DEEP when up by 21 with less than 5 minutes. Cross bites on stop and go. GT runner goes 71 yards because of NO safety support. These are coaching issues as much as execution issues
Thank God Anae has mastered the offense and while I don't like some aspects (lack of power run) can't argue with success. But at end of 1st half this team had NO CLUE what to do. CBM time management was atrocious. Have to know what you want to accomplish at the end of half.
