Just back from games. What a night. UCF got jobbed by officiating. Thoughts on UVa
1) MD was great on both ends of the floor. MVP of the opening weekend and not close.
2) Key was much better and finished well at the rim. Only mistake was missing two FT’s. Really big boost on boards and with hustle plays
3) Kihei was steady. Over penetrated once which led to TO and 2 the other way but overall very good
4) Huff was great on both ends. I honestly don’t know why he didn’t play in 2H other than we were winning and things were good so I guess TB stayed with it
5) Jerome was steady for most part. Good to see him get a few shots to go down
6). Not Hunter’s best night but hit some big shots. Officials had him out of sorts with some really bad calls
7) We need Guy to find his shot. 0/10 from 3 is not going to cut it on any other night in this tourney. A few good drives and rebounds but he needs to get hot for us to keep advancing
