Huge news this afternoon on the hoops front, as the Hoos have landed a commitment from San Francisco guard Malik Thomas. UVa got involved with Thomas a while back, but he had to wait for the NCAA to grant him another year, and they did so on Wednesday.
Thomas was an All-WCC performer with the Dons, scoring 19.9 points per game, and shot nearly 40% from three. Thomas began his career at USC, and has one year remaining.
This is a major addition for the Hoos and Thomas is probably the most likely addition to be the team's leading scorer for 2024-25. With his addition UVa is up to 12 players of 15 allowable.
