Have ML and staff been saying all this time that they want to be a "power running" team just to be saying it? Knowing all along that they expected to be more of a passing team? or is that just the way it has developed? I know I was not the only one that thought the passing game would open up the running game.
The play of Big #9, return of Thorpe, the RBs (combined catches of 30+), and the re-emergence of the TEs, there are allot of weapons for the Broncos to respect Friday night.. The Hoos are averaging over 12 yds per catch. Virginia’s true offensive identity as a wide-open passing team should become evident.
I have been looking at allot of stats of the Hoos and Boise State and I feel good about this game. I think the Friday night jinx comes to an end and the Hoos win a close one. We may see a shoot out, and then again with light rain likely the success of the "power running" may be the difference.
