Clearly building a championship program in football is different from other sports. While this year has been an incredible ride, it’s clear we’re nowhere near the level of Clemson. No one in the ACC is, or will be in the foreseeable future.
That being the case, is 2019 our ceiling...at least for now? A Coastal division title, win against Tech, and Orange Bowl bid waiting made last night seem almost like house money.
If we consistently win 8-9, at least play Tech to a draw (preferably win more than we lose), make the ACCCG every 2-3 years, and play in desirable bowl every year...to me, I’d be happy with that as a fan.
