With two likely starters still recovering from injuries, Virginia still defeated Maryland Easter Shore handily. Virginia started slow but built up a sizeable lead in the second quarter. The team was led by Taylor with 22 points and 9 rebounds; first year Johnson and 15 and 7, and Brown added 14 and 13.
