UVa sits at 44 in overall D and 58 in overall O so far. There has been lots of talk about how much did we improve last week over the week before. Some blame it on the opponent. Indiana sits at 104 in overall D while UConn is 120. Not sure how much you can blame on the defenses of the two teams, maybe some of it was we were just playing better.
That said, Indiana played Ohio State the first week while UConn played Holy Cross. That skews the stats. Also, only 3 weeks have been played so UVa has plenty of time to fall back in ranking for O and D. Reference point, last year we finished 79th in D and 76th in O.
