(Non)-game winning drive and will development (theoretically anyway)

So this sucked a lot, yes. And the coaching/FG crap may have completely nullified it, yes.

BUT...

despite the general lack of offense and giving up the FG to fall behind, we actually went on what should have been a game-winning - or at minimum game-tying - drive.

Starting back on our 20 with a little over a minute to play, we threw the ball down the field, made some nice plays, rebounded to convert a 4th and 10 after having a 1st down taken away (correctly) on replay, and got into position to win from the 5 yard line or so.

Yes, we choked it away, but I did want to point out that our players didn't give up and made almost all the plays necessary to win.

So who knows how the actual ending reverses that mentality, but I thought I'd point it out.
