UVA is holding its latest Junior Day on Grounds today with some notable guests in town, both recruits and grad transfer targets.

One big name is four-star D-tackle Joel Starlings, the No. 3 player in the state in the class of 2023. Starlings had been committed to Michigan for almost two months before re-opening his recruitment about two weeks ago. The Benedictine product is also heading to Chapel Hill for a visit tomorrow.

Another big target is 2023 O-lineman Cole Surber, the 6-foot-6 three-star O-lineman from Patriot. Surber has had a UVA offer since last May. He's been at Virginia Tech and Penn State the past two weekends.

Among grad transfers, two of the edge rushers offered by UVA earlier this week are in town. Kam Butler was three-time All-MAC at Miami (OH) including a first-team selection last fall after he posted 14 tackles for loss including 8 sacks. Paul Akere was second-team All-Ivy League at Columbia after racking up 9 tackles for loss including 5 sacks.

Recent 2022 O-line commits Houston Curry and Snoop Amaama are also among the players here this weekend. Amaama was most recently at UVA for the Virginia Tech game in November; this is Curry's first time visiting the school.
