Savino and Hungate held Penn to 2 runs on 4 hits. They gave up just 1 walk and struck out 11. Penn got 3 of their hits in the 4th inning when they scored their only 2 runs. Godbout's 3 run home run in the 2nd inning provided the winning margin. Virginia added another run in the 7th when O'Ferrall singled, stole second, and came home on a double by Anderson.
