We just played 2 good teams. We lost by over 20 points to each, and averaged under 50 points per game. What happened to "we're going to speed things up", "we're opening up the offense". "we realize we can't win games if we continue to score a low number of points"?
This coach had a losing record in a lousy conference. What makes us think he can step up to the ACC and do better? We could see a massive talent exodus if we don't position ourselves to get a good coach quickly after our season ends.
Sanchez may pan out, but good risk management suggests we start the search now, ahead of other schools, to help us get the pick of the litter. The worst that could happen is that we make in-roads with good coaches that may make sense in the future.
