The former Vanderbilt big man announced his commitment to UVa, and we're told it's for a walk-on spot. Lang played at STAB in Charlottesville before spending one year in Nashville with the Commodores. He was a 3-star prospect in the 2023 class, picking Vandy over Stanford. He played 11.5 minutes per game at Vanderbilt this year, appearing in 24 contests; he averaged 1.8ppg and 3.5rpg.
Obviously Lang is a walk-on to start, but UVa could opt to put him on scholarship if they had an open spot (they currently have one, TBD how they'll use it, or if they will pocket it).
