This game is beyond embarrassing. We have infielders that can catch a pop up; Arroyo was standing up under the ball and completely whiffed the catch; luckily he was out of bounds but come on man!
Then Hanson throws a ball down to Second baseman Becker and he mishandles it badly and it goes out of in the out field to bring in a run and players around the bag. UTTER TRAINWRECK.
The out fielders are slow reacting and tracking to give up 4 runs in the 1st inning before waking up and playing further back in the field. Playing way to shallow for being that level of slow reacting and tracking line drives deep.
OMG, ball just hit short pop up to center field and Teel is slow running up letting it take a bounce then throws a rag arm throw to third way off the line and Duke player is motoring around second when Teel runs up for the bounce Duke player makes it to third with ease. Had Teel thrown the ball remotely close to third base he guy gets tagged out. The ball thrown way off the mark.
Our bats look like little league practice for Duke's infield today. Tons of balls hit right to short stop, first baseman and second baseman.
Worse squad I've seen over the last 3 decades of watching UVA baseball.
